So, make sure that you are using soft cloths and a mild car wash cleanser, and be sure to dry it off when you are done. Before you start washing it, you want to make sure that you rinse the car off before you start washing it so that you aren't rubbing any dirt or debris into the paint, which could cause small scratches and allow for bigger damage to start. 

Repair Damage Immediately

If you notice any scratches, you want to make sure that you get that damage repaired immediately. The longer that damage is there, the worse it's going to be, and not only will your paint job be ruined, but it can also cause damage to the body of your car because things like salt and water can get in under the paint and start to corrode your car's body and frame. If you notice any damage, then you should take your car to the body shop where you had it painted and see what they can do for you. They should be able to touch up the paint in that area and make it match the color so that no one will be able to tell that your car was scratched there, and it will once again look brand-new.
